Arthur Ostertag represents the new generation of Alsace winemakers, continuing the legacy of Domaine Ostertag with a modern, precise, and terroir focused approach. Building on the pioneering work of his father, André Ostertag, he brings a fresh perspective while maintaining a deep commitment to biodynamic viticulture and authenticity. Working across the estate’s diverse vineyards in Epfig and surrounding Grand Cru sites, Arthur focuses on cultivating living soils and preserving biodiversity to produce wines that are pure, expressive, and reflective of their origin. His approach combines meticulous vineyard management with a low intervention philosophy in the cellar. Specializing in classic Alsatian varietals such as Riesling, Pinot Gris, Sylvaner, and Gewürztraminer, Arthur Ostertag crafts wines that are precise, mineral-driven, and structured, with an emphasis on balance and aging potential. Gentle extraction, native yeast fermentation, and careful élevage allow each wine to express its terroir with clarity and finesse.
