Michel Drappier, together with Hugo and Antoine Drappier, leads Champagne Drappier in Urville, continuing a family legacy that dates back to 1808. Representing both tradition and a new generation, they have established the house as a benchmark for terroir driven, low intervention Champagne with a strong identity. Working in the Côte des Bar, their vineyards are dominated by chalk rich soils and a cooler climate that favors Pinot Noir, the signature grape of the house. The Drappier family places strong emphasis on sustainable and organic viticulture, focusing on soil health, biodiversity, and meticulous vineyard management to ensure purity and balance in the grapes. Specializing in Pinot Noir led Champagnes, complemented by Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and rare heritage varietals such as Arbane and Petit Meslier, they craft wines that are expressive, structured, and precise. Their approach highlights freshness, minerality, and depth, with a distinctive style that reflects the terroir of the southern Champagne region.
