Céline Champalou is a Loire Valley winemaker continuing the legacy of Domaine Champalou in Vouvray, bringing a new generation perspective rooted in precision, sustainability, and terroir expression. Building on the work of her parents, Didier and Catherine Champalou, she contributes to maintaining the estate’s reputation for crafting pure, elegant Chenin Blanc wines. Working on the clay limestone and tuffeau soils of Vouvray, Céline focuses on careful vineyard management, sustainable practices, and manual harvesting to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Her approach emphasizes balance and freshness, ensuring that each parcel reflects its unique identity. Specializing in Chenin Blanc, she follows a low intervention philosophy in the cellar, using gentle pressing, controlled fermentation, and minimal manipulation to produce wines that are vibrant, mineral driven, and expressive. The wines are known for their precision, aromatic complexity, and ability to evolve with age.
